Frensham Ladies is a friendly cricket club which welcomes new members.

Welcome to the Frensham Ladies web page.

Frensham Ladies first formed in 2000, after an inter-village competition between Frensham and Dockenfield to celebrate the Millennium. The August Bank Holiday fixture has now become an annual match, played before the Men’s game on the Bank Holiday Monday.

For the last three years the team has been developing and playing matches at home and away. These have been a mixture of friendly games with other local ladies teams, as well as participation in the Surrey 20 Over Development league and in Surrey and Hampshire 6-aside competitions.

Aim

Our aim is to develop Girls and Ladies cricket at Frensham – to create a friendly environment where we can gain skills and knowledge of the game. New players are always welcome.

Training & Contacts

Everyone is welcome to join our training evenings, which run each Tuesday evening at the Hollowdene ground, 18:30 – 20.00, from the end of April to early September. We work with our coach, David Lloyd, and team manager, Clive Howard, to improve skill levels. All equipment is provided.

For more information or details of fixtures, please contact Katy Poulsom tel: 01252 792614 or Sue Griffiths tel: 01252 794325.

Frensham Ladies first match of the season was a coaching/practice game played against Guildford Ladies at the Guilford County Ground in the sunshine on Sunday afternoon 2nd May. Well done to everyone who participated, especially Jackie Shipway who was awarded “Player of the Match” by Clive.
